Crazy8 - Crazy88
If acoustic upright bass is in your repertoire, you really need to give these a good long hard look!

with the optional folding tiltback

Customer plays 5-string in low volume gigs, and the reviews were positive!
Crazy8 general specs
10.5" W x 13.25" H x 12.0" D. Built in 5-ply arauco, weight (w/tweeter) 14-17 lbs.
Weight (sub version w/o tweeter) 12-15 lbs.

200 watt power handling, 8 ohm impedance, sensitivity 95dB@1W

The Crazy8 was designed with the intention of developing the smallest, lightest, best performing loudspeaker system for upright bass. Prototypes have hit the stage in the Chicago area to rave reviews!! The high-excursion Faital Pro woofer allows solid response, even for uprights sporting low B's. The Eminence tweeter, combined with a greenboy-designed crossover improved imaging and presentation, and really helped this cab come into its own and opened up a whole
slew of application possibilities. Prototype testing has shown the Crazy8 might have better been named "swiss army knife". Excellent results with all acoustic instruments, not just upright bass, and the vocal clarity makes these ideal for mini-PA. Combine a pair of these on poles with a fEARful 12sub, you have a very viable small club PA system. Can also be used as a spot monitor.
How many ways are there to use a Crazy8? Here's a few suggestions..

Crazy8's can be ordered with or without the tweeter. The tweeter version comes standard with a switchable pad on the tweeter crossover. This allows a good balance between using the cab solo, or paired with a tweeterless (sub) cab.

These can be ordered with foldable tiltback legs, pole mounts, M20 mounts, full metal grills, round grills over woofer, custom colors, most handle options.. Many of these options can be had at no additional charge!

NEW!! The C8 is now available in a rear-ported enclosure using 3/8" ply. Available here in okoume only..

Crazy88 general specs
Dimensions 10-1/2"W, 21-1/2"H, 13-5/8"D. Arauco ply construction standard, weight estimation 30 lbs.

400 watts, 4ohms.

The world of upright bass has another winner to choose from. The same amazing performance as the Crazy8, only at a bit more volume. Prototypes have also found favor with some electric bassists who demand minimal size and weight in their rigs. The Crazy88 has compared favorably to a number of 2-10's on the market. Much more musical, not lacking in SPL, and most importantly smaller and lighter.

These can be pole mounted for a very effective full-range coffeehouse PA, or combined with a fEARful 15sub for more substantial PA use.

Just to get a size reference off the picture.. The woofers are 8 inches, the port is only 4..

The Crazy8/88 benefits greatly by the use of a quality high-pass filter in the signal chain.

We strongly recommend the fdeck HPF- 3.
